5. Custom Manufacturing & Materials

5.1 Custom Nature of Work

All furniture, joinery, and timber installations are custom-made unless otherwise stated. Variations in grain, colour, texture, and natural characteristics are inherent to solid wood and are not considered defects.

5.2 Timber Characteristics

Wood is a natural material and may expand, contract, or change tone over time due to environmental conditions such as humidity, temperature, and exposure to sunlight.

We take all reasonable measures to ensure material stability, but natural movement cannot be fully eliminated.

6. Lead Times & Delivery

6.1 Production Timelines

Estimated lead times are provided as guidance only and may be affected by:

  • Material availability

  • Design approvals

  • Project complexity

  • External delays beyond our control

Delivery and installation arrangements will be confirmed per project. Clients are responsible for ensuring site readiness and access at the agreed time.

Delays caused by site inaccessibility or client-side issues may incur additional costs.

A deposit is required before production begins. Deposit amounts and payment milestones will be outlined in the quotation.

7.2 Final Payment

Final payment is due upon completion or prior to delivery/installation, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Project delays

  • Suspension of work

  • Additional administrative or legal costs

Ownership of goods remains with Touw Meubels until full payment has been received.
